Dedicated to the memory of Simon Palmer

This site is a tribute to Simon Palmer, who passed away on 3rd June 2024.

He was born in Timsbury on 8th June 1958 and spent most of his life in and around the West Country area, raising his children in Bath, before moving to Worthing.

He was a father, grandfather, husband and brother - as well as a nurse. He showed great care, compassion and wisdom in all of these aspects of his life, and will be hugely missed.

After 40 years of nursing, he made the decision to retire in 2023; he spent his short retirement reading, researching and spending time with his family.

Simon was a pragmatic man who viewed death as the next phase in our journey. His years in nursing meant he was at peace with the concept and was always very open with those around him. He was particularly clear on his parting message from this life, and for that we can thank Eric Idle:

Always look on the bright side of life.
